Karmayug is a story about Love, friendship, dreams, trust, promises, family, wealth, power, relations, truth, mental strengths, lies, faith, scandals, success, failure,Fame, beliefs, God, hatred, Celebrity, Evil, unity and above all it is about Destiny. Karmayug speaks about destiny as a circumstance that can change. As a coin as two sides so does 'Destiny', it too gives good times as well as bad times. This story shows how the characters of this story cope up with their problems. This story shows how unity wipes of their problems. This story also shows the influential powers of women on a person.  

                             The main protagonists of the story are Princess Dr Ishani Chauhan, Dr Indraneel Vidhran, David Bernard, Brinda Ranjan, Deepika Rajdeep, and Prince Adithya Ishaan Chauhan.

      The story focuses on lives of these six characters. Though these six characters are from different backgrounds and places, the story begins only with the mingling of these six. Ishani makes friendship with David, when he rescues her from an accident and later David makes friendship with Prince Adithya Ishaan Chauhan on the request of Dr Ishani Chauhan. However, this friendship later risks the life of both David and Adithya. This friendship paves way for the six to meet. Everything seems to come to a happy ending after a rough and troublesome journey for the six and their family but a death changes the life of the six. Princess Ishani Chauhan and Dr Indraneel Vidhran come out with a solution but this later leads to another big problem. Even though a big problem, everything settles calmly with the timely revealing of truth. Once again, happiness and joy returns to all families thus ending their Bad times.  

                           Princess Dr Ishani  is  a responsible and loving sister, wife, friend, daughter, mother and caretaker.  She strives in order to fulfill the promises she made to her father in his last hours. Prince Vrijesh Chauhan; father of Ishani and Ishaan makes his daughter Princess Ishani  promise him that, she’ll look after Prince Adithya Ishaan like her own son and will hand over him all businesses of theirs by he is 18. She also promises that she will not claim for any properties of the palace after he takes charge. Her father tells her that she must make Adithya Ishaan survive all odds and must never let him fail in any method. She promises her father that she will live as he told her to. In addition, Nandhini promise herself that she will fulfill all wishes of her father. Therefore, at the age of 11 she becomes the mother of two-year-old Prince Adithya Ishaan, her Stepbrother. Now eighteen years later, Dr Ishani is 31 years and she is striving in-order to balance her life with these promises and her love to Dr Indraneel Vidhran.

                      Brinda Ranjan: Brinda belongs to a middle class family living in Bangalore. She is god fearing. Her parents want her to get first class Degree in Business Administration and to get a job in a well-reputed company, then marry a rich man so their family will be saved from all the financial problems they face. However, Brinda falls in love with David Bernard; a Christian. David is not rich and successful in life so she struggles with her duties to parents on one side and love to David on the other side.

                        Dr Indraneel Vidhran is an orphan and lives with his aunt Nikhita Raghav. He is in love with Dr Ishani but his aunt tells him not to marry her unless and until she brings with her half the wealth of Chauhan family. Therefore, he decides not to marry her in this situation but to wait for the right time. He is the one who provides mental strength to Dr Ishani. He is a man of great mental strength. He is ’Jack of all Trades' as he has knowledge of each and everything. Though not rich, he takes care of the needy by running an old age home. He invests most of his salary in running the old age home. He also writes books, which provides him with an extra income. He is waiting for Ishani to say yes to his proposal. He knows she is waiting for her brother to settle with his life.

                                                    David Bernard belongs to a rich Christian family. He is unsuccessful in his life. He wants to be a playback singer and a businessperson but his parents want him to be an engineer. He makes his own money for studies and his living. He studies for BBA in Bangalore along with that he works as a call center agent in Bangalore. He is in love with Brinda Hindu girl and if he should marry her, he must become rich.

David’s elder brother hates him, and conspires against David. Many times, he has been a victim of his conspiracy and has been looked down by others, which brings many problems for him. David is very good at heart but his family members believe he is a gang member. He went to jail for destroying public property, which he never did.

             Prince Adithya Ishaan Chauhan also called Adi or Ishaan, is not a good prince when he makes appearance in the story. He is a rich badly spoiled person, and it is to change his character Dr Ishani banish him from the palace. It is then he meets David and makes friendship with him. Ishaan then becomes a good person but still has the characters of the youth today has.

   Later Dr Ishani forgives him and then he takes over the business from her. Living up to her expectations he makes her happy but a few relatives of his try to create a drift between Ishani and Ishaan. Then a few problems overturn his life but this leads to him realizing Deepika’s love for him.

                   Deepika Rajdeep: She belongs to a rich family living in Jaipur. Still she is very good at heart and very god fearing. She is in love with Prince Adithya Ishaan Chauhan from the age of 15. Now she is eighteen, she has tried to make Ishaan realize her feelings towards him but he does not take notice of this. Instead, he loves flirting with girls, partying with them and all. Not only that the Chauhan’s are the arch rivals of the Rajdeep’s, so her father does not take initiative in their marriage.
